Stabilisation was required to condition unsuitable site won material and produce an engineered fill and a subbase replacement layer, 300mm thick. Whilst on site, the client discoved an area of ground nearly 4 metres deep that was unsuitable to use in the construction of the warehouse facility. Beach stabilised the material with 2% Quicklime and it was replaced in the hole, saving several thousand pounds on muckway and import costs.
