The construction of 35,000m³ of enhanced stabilised clay and chalk along 8.2km of new duel carriageway.  GGBS (Ground Granulated Blastfurnace Slag) was used instead of cement.  Lime was used to regulate the moisture content of the clays and chalks and the GGBS used to provide the binder to give layer strength and durability.
